he runs into the net and provokes fans in the chaddy end with 4 or 5 other players, run out of the net and provokes the fans some more, then kicks in the advertising board. now i arent sticking up for the idiots throwing bottles and even a tennis ball at him. but his goal celibration wasnt good and wasnt needed.
I don't care.. just this once, I'll let them off being stupid. Did one of your Oldham bum-boys tell you this? Chris Taylor was garbage, by the way.
RE: I don't care.. no i could see it myself because it reminded me of chopra being a arsehole against huddersfield at home for his first last season. no wonder shuker got booked and mcphail should have know better then to get booked doing what he did too. shuker and whoever else for any club does that they think nobody will get them. but if they did it in public would probably get thumped. and if a fan ran on to attack the player in a situation like that i bet the player would be totally innocent and fan banned for life for coming on the pitch.
RE: "the idiots throwing bottles and even a tennis ball at him" Bottles are OK but you've got to watch out for them tennis balls, they can bounce up reight nasty, like!
Sorry... but after a performance like that, when it was so necessary, I just don't care. Were you in the away end? Because you must have been in the Oldham end to see what he did.
RE: Was it a heavy top-spin? http://www.barnsleyfc.org.uk/BBS/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=28243&mid=175016#M175016

Not seen it but... Although it might have been over the top, it shows they care (H) Cue Jonathan saying it was just an act ff
RE: Not seen it but... well on our website in the oldham pictures there is one of 5 players in the net taunting the home fans in the chaddy end. mr knowles should know better then to put a picture like that up.
personally i couldn't give a **** - like journo says, it shows they have passion for the cause. good on em
RE: personally passion is one thing but antagonising is another. we all know if oldham did the same at our end we would have been having a go ourselves and not saying oh look at oldham for showing passion. works both ways and they are meant to be "professional" footballers.
RE: personally yes you are correct, i probably would be pissed off if oldham players did it at our end - because i am a barnsley fan and am therefore biased! but, as it was our player who did it i am pleased as it showed how much it meant to him to score. all this from a player who some people would suggest is playing out the remainder of his contract at oakwell and couldn't give a stuff. i would have thought antagonising and passion go hand in hand..
