If we have withdrawn the offer before the deadline then its shocking. If it was after the deadline then it kind of serves him right.

However... if we really wanted him to stay, we would have extended the deadline. So that surely means that we have a replacement lined up and about to sign. Or am I giving the club too much credit to be that prepared?

He was almost 2 weeks beyond the deadline.

He Shukes was truly committed he had ample time to sign.

He did, but if we really wanted him, we would have allowed him to sign now. He even said on the same money, so we must be able to afford that. Surely the only reason why we will not allow him to sign now, is that we already have a replacement lined up. I hope.

    FA rules?

Which one is that? I'm sure there is no rule that says that a club isnt allowed to extend its deadline
