He hasn't. He's served half of it and is out on parole. He is still serving his sentence and will be straight back inside should he break the rules of his parole.

Sorry for another Ched Evans post, but this United co-chairman spouting off in the media has just wound me up!

Ched Evans should be free to pursue his career without anybody seeking to prevent him.

But first of all he should serve a proper sentence. For his crime (although I think there may be more merit for him in the continuing legal challenges) it is ridiculous for him to be out so soon.

For a start prisoners should only get out after they have served the whole of their sentence. They should be kept in if they haven't behaved, rather than being let out early for good behaviour.

This "showing remorse" stuff is floss. Saying summat to appease others is easy. Therefore our Ched is possibly not so guilty, or so stupid or arrogant that he thinks he's not guilty, or a lying **** who still thinks that he can do as he likes. Or other permutations.

His guilt relies on evidence rather than absolute facts though.

Make em serve a proper sentence.

I suspect they wouldn't be saying the same about Rolf if the beeb gave him his job back on Animal Hospital once he was released. The fake belief in rehabilitation has got right on my tits.

I don't have any bones about him seeking to pursue 'a' career, but for me he shouldn't be allowed back in the football league. This doesn't just go for Ched, it goes for Marlon King and Luke McCormack and anyone else who has been convicted of such a big crime.

Why should they be allowed to go straight back into such a publicised industry whilst their victims have to live with their experience for the rest of their lives.

I wouldn't be allowed back into my work place if I was done for rape, and I work in an office. Why should footballers get any different treatment, because they're footballers.
