Semi final of the 50 overs competition, nice day at Lords to look forward to and maybe a league and cup double and.........we mess it up AGAIN. That is 16 out of 19 semi finals lost since the late 1970s.

Really toothless performance from the Yorks bowlers but why they left out the likes of Brooks and Sidebottom I can't quite fathom. Plunkett and Rashid on England duty so the bowling attack has been very poor.

I've seen Yorkshire play at Bristol and Cheltenham loads of times over the years and they invariably lost. Now it's happening at Headingley.

What a RUBBISH sporting weekend this has been

We shouldn't have been in the semis anyway. Ridiculous format for this competition.

We lost it with the bat to be fair. 290-300+ is a different game and given the start we should have got there. With 260 there was little or no scoreboard pressure, once someone got in it was knock 3-4 singles per over and take the boundary when it was on offer. Great knock by Klinger btw.

They got there without them. And I think rugby union would answer your question.

You've got to give them some credit for having some faith in the youth structure but a major semi final is the time for playing your big guns. Yorkshire have the strongest squad in the country and are cruising to another county championship. Failing in the shorter forms of the game makes no sense. They should be winning everything. Really poor losing by 8 wickets to Glos today

Nobody helped out Lyth and they should have got 300 at least. Don't get why guys like Williamson (who's been over here a week) and Brooks were being saved for the already won county championship. Both should have played today as we were weak enough without Rashid, Plunkett, Root, Gale, Sidebottom etc.

Totally agree PoR . Terrible weekend alround. Now they have the cheek to call up Bairstow to rest Butler. Watch him play for lancs in some matches coming up. Even more galling is that he (Bairstow ) proved how good he was against New Zealand and they still dropped him! !!!!!

Gillespie also has to look at himself and start to choose players who can win big matches, not think young kids can win it all the time for him, they have to learn their trade. Semi finals are NOT the place ...

Sidebottom doesn't play anything other than county championship cricket. It's what's prolonging his career. Brooks is expensive and the pitch suited pace being taken off the ball. In hindsight he should have played, we needed wickets, but that was more to do with not getting enough runs.

No wonder BFC get the level of criticism they do when this wonderful Yorkshire team and coach get the amount of stick they do on here at times.
