Had a discussion last night at work - nowt else to do! Anyway, one of the blokes seems to think that Yorkshire Puddings used to be eaten as a pudding - after the main course of a meal. I've seen them used as a starter, accompany the main course, or as a meal on their own (filled with stuff) but never as a pudding. Anyone else heard of them used as a sweet?
We used to have them cold with jam on.
But usually we have them before, wi onion gravey....and mint sauce

Oh yes indeedy used to have em wi warmed golden syrup for pud. Great big uns made in bread tins... bloody gorgeous stuff
We've done that as well Though I prefer them as a starter with gravy If you think about it yorkshire pud mixture isnt much different to a pancake mixture so there isnt really any reason why you couldnt use them as a pudding
Used to have 'em as both starter and pudding. Warm starter with gravy and cold pudding with jam. Sometimes had them with just sugar on for a pudding.
RE: Used to have 'em as both starter and pudding. Well - this aint settled it either way! Ah well - time to argue about somert else then! Cheers
Defo a starter and the with the main course. Ask mi grandad. He had 2 the size of a steaking pan to start off his Sunday dinner.
