But at half the cost, so what's the problem?

People who thought that this season wass going to be our big year really ought to get some perspective.

You watch, the improvements will really show next season.

You reckon? Why will they? The players we gave can't compete!

Because while we can only improve, the big money clubs in the league will have to downsize if they are to break even for next season. At the start of the season, only us and Nottingham Forest openly expressed that we were trying to observe said rule this season. How are the likes of Leicester going to cope with the massive losses they're making? They're gunna have to sell their biggest assets to balance the books, similar to what we did with Shackell.

The likes of Dawson, Cotterill, Tonge, Digby, Done cant string together any form because they're in and out of the team, we need a bit of consistency.

Just look at the proposals. They still allow clubs to be bankrolled. We've done what we've done because if Cryne's situation. It's the right thing to do but saying we will be better off because of these rules (that are still to come in) is hyperbole at best IMHO.

We'll only find out next season, I don't mind admitting i'm wrong. I'm just annoid at the amount of people who actually think we're bigger than we are, or that we're gunna get relegated, the numpty on radio Sheffield didn't help.

I think that next season some of the crowds will be less than 8k.
Who will stump up over three hundred pounds at the end of the season when they don't know how the close season will pan out ... Oh I forgot we got a discount !!!!

would folk on here rather be signing big players at the risk of going bust or end up financially secure and in league 1?

    I know which I'd choose!

Why are those the only choices though?
Why cant we sign a mixture of the players, instead of going to each extreme?

I find it very silly that people think it has to be one or the other!!

Why are you arguing with me, yet saying exactly the same?

I know the squad needs balance and that is what I have said all year, good youngsters and some good experienced lads, ones that know about this league.
JayMac is just crap whether he is on £10K or £50 a week. Gray is still better than Nouble ever will be, it does not matter if Nouble is playing for nothing, he is not good enough, not last season, not this season.
It has nothing to do with the ncost of the players, its the skill level of them, or some of them , thats the problem. Running around a lot for 90 mins(45 mins at the moment) is not ever going to be better than being able to play football of a higher standard. You can carry some players that do it but not all 10 out field players at once.

listening to everyone around me in the ponty, the problem isnt just that we're on a shocking run at the moment,,its the fact that they cant see where the next goal is comming from, let alone the next point........we create nothing, simple as that......
at the moment our pre xmas form looks like its going to be enough to keep us up,purely because the teams below us dont look like they are good enough to catch us,,but our post xmas form???????????// now if we carry on like this next season then for me we will go down,,and thats the worrying thing, the club apparently have no money now so the summer wont be any different,so how can we strengthen our squad??,,I know some people believe keith is a magician and will 'pull' some gems out of the hat,but i'm not so sure...the gems he pulled out pre-this season had a bit of quality to work and progress with,,now we dont seem to have any 'real' quality i cant see any miracles happening.

Half the cost? We'll see when the accounts are released.
