I've said he doesn't score enough goals! Not quite sure why you've chosen to ignore his cup goals though? He still has talent though and is a good creative player with intelligent movement and excellent close control.
just this part "still has talent though and is a good creative player with intelligent movement and excellent close control." i disagree with all that.
I, like you have watched my team struggle to score goals, the main culprit is Hayes, that is self evident, he can be blessed with all the skill in the world, but it does'nt alter the fact that his input to a faltering team is poor to say the least, so, he had a decent game today, others would disagree, his heart is the size of a pea, defenders love to play against him because he is easily dealt with, he can't jump, he has no blistering pace, he shifts responsibilty to others, but above all, and this matters, he does'nt score goals, hand on heart Simon, I would love to be on here saying "what a player Hayes is" but alas I can't, my opinion is my right, you don't agree, fair do's, but because we disagree you call me a cretin, I suspect that,s because your argument, with the stats quoted, does'nt hold water, as for disregarding his goals in the cup, well, why would you count them, for all intents and purposes they don't get you promoted.
Well he's created several goals this season as well as numerous other chances including 2 sitters today. His movement is good since he comes deeper looking for the ball than most strikers taking centrebacks with leaving more space to exploit, he also takes defenders into wider positions than they would like to be, just look at the Richards chance Hayes first of comes deep looking for the pass from Shuker taking the centre back with him, he then peels off into a wider position where he receives the pass from Shuker, in doing this he'd taken a defender out of the box and left him out of position when he put in a perfect cross for Richards, note how there was only 1 defender in the box at this point.
He doesnt see that tho He looks at goal per game, in league only.
Nardiello doesnt start every week because his attitude is awful

Your argument is that Hayes doesn't score enough goals so I don't think it matters in which competetion it's scored in from that point of view and your right I shouldn't call you a cretin but that stems from comments such as 'Go away boy, and have w@nk to your Paul Hayes poster.' but yes personal insults arn't really necessary.
(clap) well said. (in response to rufus) i've said before that i would love nothing better than hayes to score loads of goals for us, and lets face it thats what he came here to do, shoot us to promotion. that hasn't happened, and its only fair that we give another striker a chance to score some goals. i was saying that the hayes signing would be great for us at the start of the season, so i aint got nowt against him personally - its just about time we gave the better strikers at the club a chance to shine.
So hayes missed 4 sitters today instead of Richards?
I agree that Hayes is not a striker, he is a attacking midfielder to me.

his attitde isn't aweful at all how is it??? would you get pissed off if you were the best striker bar none at the club and couldn't even get a look in???
RE: his attitde isn't aweful at all He came on, had had a go at the ref and was booked and then a minute later he did same, he got sent off...
Nardiello is a very good finisher, best at the club but he needs to stop having a go at the ref or linesman after every decision that goes against him.
