Yet we only got offered a million for JCR....If Cox is worth two million JCR is worth six or seven.

Not a done deal - yet

TOWN have accepted a bid of around £2million from West Bromwich Albion for in-demand striker Simon Cox.

The Baggies tabled the offer 10 days ago, but with the frontman on holiday it has been kept under wraps.

However, the deal is now set to go through, although the Advertiser understands from sources close to the Midlands side that personal terms are yet to be agreed and it is subject to West Brom's appointment of a new boss.

This newspaper also understands that the fee agreed is a £2million structured deal including add-ons.

Chairman Andrew Fitton told the Advertiser: "It is fair to say that we have given West Brom permission to speak to the player.

"I'm not prepared to be drawn on the fee, but I will say that it is not disappointing.

"We have earmarked some of the money to strengthen the squad, and you should assume that we are already on the case in finding a replacement."

Absolutely right yet there will still be those who dont put a penny into the club moaning about lack of quality signings. As i've stated previously i do feel sorry for PC and to an extent SD.

Will be very interesting to see

    1. Whether he comes up to his billing; 2. Whether he gets games/starts in the first team regularly.

I think he is the hottest property around outside the premiership - we will see!

Now - who else can we go for as a striker?
