    Why?

    Is it down to the Fans ? Manager? Set Up? Or just cos he went somewhere else, so we dont want him anyway?

    I think I'm right in saying it's £1.5m rising to £1.9m ish or more. I don't think we can afford such an expensive gamble.

    We are going to have to , if we want to get away from the relegation places.

    If all teams above us are improving thier squad, we have to do the same and more. I know money is tight, but we are supposed to be in a better financial position than the majority of clubs in this league. So sayeth Mr Cryne at the end of last season.

    Unproven Championship striker, who will yet again fail to make an Impact, another Billy Sharp. Signing Simon Cox would have been a bigger gamble than Gray. Teams like West Brom can afford such gambles like this.

    Plain and simple, we can't

    How do you , or anyone else on here actually know how much we can afford?

    You dont, you must like being little Barnsley, raggamuffins of the league.
