I didn't think he was the right man for the job and I didn't think he would keep us up. I still don't think he is the right man to take us forward. HOWEVER tonight I shall be eating a massive slice of humble pie with thousands of other tarn fans for doubting him. Well done on keeping us up and here is to bigger and better things next season. You have made thousands of reds fans very very happy sir
Thanks alot. I didnt think ritchie deserved to be sacked and i definately didnt think davey was right man for job but hes proved me wrong and im glad i was. WELL DONE SIMON AND THE BOYS
Kept up by t' skin of us teeth and relying on the results of others around us. Need to get t' finger art next season.

Tin hat at the ready.

Simon Davey....... Got to agree with you there squire...... but suffice to say he got the results that mattered and brought in Ferenczi. I myself shall be eating some humble pie this evening, along with a fair amount of cider and brandy in celebration of the mighty Leeds being relegated and our beloved town staying in the Championship.
I hope that.... there has been a lot of humble pie in the oven, because I too will be taking a slice. One place above the relegation zone is all we asked at the start of the season - no matter how **** we would have played. It looks to me like thats where we shall finish too - and im pleased as punch about it.
Simon Davey (clap) thank you that man!

I won't mention the ex-manager, but I think Simon has done an excellent job in keeping us up and bringing in some very good back room staff.
He has done the easy bit, now he has the pre-season to show us his intents for next season.
I will settle for mid-table obscurity, please no more seasons like this .

Not a fan of his, and still don't think he was a good appointment, but he's earned his right to have a full season at the helm. Hopefully he'll get it, but I doubt it.
Agree entirely with you there but i think its more a case of the board backing him. They ultimately have to decide what they what to do now. The squad needs signings that are significantly better than what is already here. If not, its more of the same, relegation battle, sh*te performances etc. Anyhow, congrats BFC on staying up. Superb achievement
I think we've been lucky to end the season in the position where we are. However, I said at that start that I would be happy with fourth from bottom.
Simon Davey's biggest test is yet to come - next season!

aLL together now, SIMON DAVEYS RED N WHITE ARMY *clap clap clap clap* SIMON DAVEYS RED N WHITE ARMY *clap clap clap clap*
Here, here. The man deserves a decent bonus He's had to put up with some right **** spouted about him and he's proved a lot of people wrong. I didn't want rid of Ritchie, but Davey has come in and turned things around, when it all looked fairly grim. When Shepherd sacked Ritchie and appointed Davey, I posted that I thought it was a very brave decision and it took some balls to do that, because if it went wrong he'd pissed off most of the fans and they'd be after his blood. While I disagreed with his decision at the time, I look back and think Shepherd owes Davey big time, because he's saved turned it around. Equally, Davey owes Shepeherd a debt of gratitude for having faith in him. It was a very brave decision to make Davey manager, and it's paid off. Massive B*ll*cks, both of them.
Just wait till we arent challenging for promotion three 10 games in next season and we will all be calling for his head. To be fair to him this is a massive achievement. Well done Simon you put up with alot of crap from us at times! Thanks Simon
Not sure about that. I thought his biggest test was this year. He took over second from bottom, took over from one of our most popular managers ever and we had only just come up. Now next season other teams will be in our position instead of us, he's got a whole pre season and a clean slate points wise to work with. Onwards and upwards it should be now.
well said I agree that he was probably not the best choice for the job. However, he was given a job to do and has done it, simple as that. well done Simon (Y)
he has done the job he was asked to do the humble pie manufacturers will be working overtime as i will be taking a piece of it aswell but lets face it he was thrown in straight at the deep end and a 6 month relegation fight. beginning of the season the majority of us said if we finished 4th from bottom then that would be an achievement. well we wont finish below that so mission accomplished. lets enjoy the moment and have a party at west brom and look forward to august. davey has his chance now with a full pre season and able to get the players he wants to make it his team. judge him 15 games or so into next season WELL DONE DAVEY AND THE BOYS UP THE REDS
Well done to the man. Credit where it is due. Young manager with no experience comes in to a situation like that and succeeds. You can only take your hat off to him.
