Simon Davey, GS and the Board

It's a long time since I last posted, I mostly just read and don't comment. But I feel something should be said about our current situation. OK, I know we have only played 10 games but what a start we have had! I think GS and the Board deserve a massive praise for having the courage of their convictions and replacing Andy Ritchie with Simon Davey, despite all the criticism they received from the majority of fans - me for one. Simon had a mass clear out in the summer and relaced them mostly with foreign unknowns. I think it's safe to say the majority of us groaned and thought "what have we done." Credit to him - we are now in a position I would not have dared to dream of at the beginning of the season. Even when we play away from home and go behind you feel that we will still get something from the game. Would we have thought that last season? No way! This team play and battle for each other and their manager. And - joy of joys - look where then wendys and the blunts are. Like a lot of Barnsley fans I have deleted Radio Dee Dah from my preset but I just had to listen to Praise or Grumble tonight. It's the funniest thing I've heard for ages. I hope they don't sack the two Bri's, they are doing such a good job. Shaun O'Driscoll too and his dillusional Chairman.
