And its got to be said BUT

Any Barnsley fan who wants Davey to be given a further season in charge DOES NOT have the best interest of the club at heart, stats dont lie, performances dont lie and more so the majority of fans dont want him, therefore to provide new hope and enthusiasm for the season ahead he has to go. Financially the club WILL suffer through downturn of fans through the gates, NO one can deny this will happen.

I simply cannot see why any one with a ounce of common sense and Love for the club would want him in charge for another year it is just crazy

If most fans who wanted him out wrote to the club and said "I'm not re-newing my season ticket until we have a new manager, because I have lost faith in Davey and he does not have my 100% backing..."

then rest assured, it would happen - there would be a new manager. As a club could not run with only 15% of it's fans.

If i remember right didnt Ronnie Moore get sacked at Oldham becasue they had an alarming drop in thr numbr of people willing to renew season tickets while he was in charge.

But its very easy to say Davey Out

The difficult bit is who to get in.

Though I knock Daveys tactics and inability to sign a decent striker he has kept us up for 3 seasons in a row. There is a risk if we sign a new manager he will be worse. Its a risk that I think is worth taking but to claim anyone who wants to give him another season doesnt have the best interests of the club at heart is not true - you are expressing your opinon as a fact.

As to the downturn in fans - I doubt it really most ST holders will renew gates were actually up this season on last and to be honest whenever there have been opinion polls on here there is a fairly even split between the Davey outers and the keep him brigade.

Personally I would like to see him replaced with Paul Ince if he'd come ( I think Curbishley is beyond our dreams) but if PC decides to give Davey more time next season I will still be there

Not as easy as Iley Out

That still trips off the tongue so well, even after all these years.

Would the 'give the manager more time' policy

Apply when talking about the likes of Spackman, Hodges or Parkin?

That is the worry for me too. When names like John Sheridan are being put about as our next manager I wonder if it would be an improvement. Unless there is an exciting replacement, Ince would probably fit the bill, or Robins, then I would stick with SD. He seems to being doing enough to keep us in this division at least. Strikers needed.
