calamity moore getting sent off changed the game, not davey. foster at centre half, and then the garbage leon being taken off, and we were a team all of a sudden. we did miss brian howard and are now desperate for a creative midfielder
what brave decision, he should get rid of moore and leon, bu then i'd still sack him he's not the man to take us forward
what brave decision? When losing he couldnt have put an extra defender on, the fans would have been trying to get into the dugout. He made the only decision possible in a must win game that he was losing. After we got back in it he made the substitution that stevie wonder couldve seen was the obvious choice and then made two like for like substitutions up front. Nothing daring, brave or new about it.
utter rot I'm sorry, but if you can't give him credit for the excellent decisions he made in the second half then your bias against him is just clouding your judgement and making your opinion worthless.
He made a very brave and very good decision. Personally I wanted Hassell on for Leon immediately after the red card. He thought about the change but didn't do it. We scored 2 quick goals, giving us something to defend, and then he brought Hassell on. It was brave and it paid off. Give the bloke some credit FFS.
go on then which was a brave decision? Was it the two like for like subs up front? no they were like for like, just fresh legs was it bringing on hassel (the only defensive player on the pitch) to replace the absolutly dire leon? no, it was an obvious substitution was it then playing a right back at right back and a centre back in the middle? i hope that isnt classed as a brave decision because its common sense for me. He did nothing wrong after moore got sent off but he did nothing radical, just made three obvious changes that the entire stadium would have made
Kept it a three at the back Yes, he thought about bringing Hassell on, but he decided against it. Most managers would have instantly brought on another defender. He then brought Hassell on when we'd gone in front but instead of sacrificing a striker, like most managers would have done, he brought off a midfielder. It was excellent tactics by Davey.
I don't think that most managers would have gone four at the back when losing in a must win game. Which managers would have tried to defend a one nil loss in a game that they needed to win to keep their job?
leon was poor but atleast he can pass and give an attacking option when losing, hassells a defender who cant pass. luckily we scored to delay his decision. and its obvious to bring hassell on when we wa winning. not rocket science. daveys a lucky bast**d
