Barnsley boss Simon Davey looks unlikely to pursue any interest in Maltese striker Michael Mifsud who is available on a free transfer.
Mifsud made 15 appearances for Barnsley, scoring twice, last season but it would appear that Davey is not pursuing him for the new campaign despite the fact he is free as his deal at Coventry has come to an end. There is said to be interest from other Championship sides while Leeds United in League One are also said to be keen as they look to replace Jermaine Beckford who looks likely to leave Elland Road.

Good. He certainly didn't live up to expectations. As mentioned, his first touch was ***** 90% of the time and he was as good as ODJ when one on one. He was very disappointing, Boggy is a better player (Maltese comparison).
He is not, you know. Ask some Maltese people, they all think Mifsud is far better than Boggy and Boggy will throw the Teddy out of the cot before end od October and get transferred.
RE: He is not, you know. I agree there madmark62, for me Bogdanovic is a bit morngy, when taken off last season he wasn't to pleased. Although he was playing crap at the time his attitude when taken off amounted to a spoiled kid who can't get his way in the supermarket. Any way i don't rate him, he may have scored 5 goals in 12 games but his attitude stinks.
Miffy is twice the player. But unless we playb to his strengths, then he will look *****. Bogdanovich is a player that has surprised me, but he is not going to get that many goals next season. There is a player in Malta from Argentina, played for Boca Juniors I think, when he was a kid, scored **** loads of goals in the juniors and in Malta. Called Sebastian Monesterolo, great goal scorer, but he will not do anything over here, BFC looked at hin last year and he went to Cyprus instead, back in Malta now.
Misfud is exciting and unpredictable of course hes not without fault but he was a catalyst for the reds improvement.
RE: Miffy is twice the player. 5 goals in 12 games and an attitude problem is something that I would take over somebody who didn't even look capable of controlling the ball most of the time.
You are having a laugh, mifsud was the catalyst for the improvement-HOW? He was appauling. The improvment came from a strong team ethic, nothing more nothing less Mifsud was not the catalyst
But nor would Mifsud at this level.. Quite how Mifsud had that purple patch at Coventry, I really have no idea. We'll have to see.
RE: Miffy is twice the player. When you say play to his strengths, do you mean playing through balls for him to run on to and be one on one? We have seen us do that for him a few times but he has shown no composure. He had a good season at Coventry and that is it. Boggy looks like he can score goals and his all round game isn't too shabby either. If we get him alongside a target man he will get goals.
