    He also came across very well before the Liverpool game with the 5Live team.

    Maybe the more professional journalists who don't listen to tittle tattle on here bring out the best in him.

    have you not considered that journalists who know or care very little about Barnsley asking standard questions are much easier to handle than those who follow the team and can ask more detailed questions from a position of knowledge.

    Just a thought like before you blame this BBS for Davey sometimes not coming over so well

    I was quite surprised by his easy going approach... wonder if thats how he treats the players? Maybe he needs a bit of the 'hairdryer' in him at times.

    Yeah that's right!

    The country thinks "Barnsley's doing really well, survived, reached FA Cup Semi Final. Davey seems a down to earth guy who is a promising manger."

    The BBS and the local reporters think "Davey's lost the dressing room, he's arrogant, he drops people cos he doesnt like them (FFS!), he's knocking the back out of one of the girls at the club. Howard wanted to leave because of Davey."



    Neither one the truth but I know which is closer to reality.

    Oh and if the local journalists were any good they would have gone on to bigger and better things. Unbiased reporting is the standard that people reach to if a jouranlist lets it show that he cares or has an agenda then he is no good.


    And just to show I'm not all pro BFC I would imagine RK aspires to work on local news but I imagine he's gone as far as he can go.

    Which reporters think he has lost the dressing room

    There are some posters on here made that claim but they are in the minority - never read anything in print or heard any interview where a reporter has given that impression. I havent seen anyone seriously suggest Howard left for anything other than more money.
    He does come over as arrogant - not necessarily a bad thing in a football manager - Clough and Fergie not exactly shrinking violets

    It did seem reasonable to ask the question last season as to why a couple of our strikers didnt play - none of us know the real reason why a couple of players never played

    Oh but we can agree on one thing - RKN
