REDS boss Simon Davey gave his thoughts following today's victory over West Brom.

Simon said: "To be fair it has been a horrible week for a lot of people concerning with this Club and that includes the fans, players and myself. We needed a reaction following the Coventry game and we have worked very hard this week to get one.

"We took the game to West Brom from the start and outplayed and outfought them at times. We could have been even further in front in the first half.

"The most important thing is that we won the game. We are now put to 40 points and that should give us a platform to kick on from.

"We played very well as a team but it is pleasing to see both strikers score the game. I have to give credit to all of them.

"We set out this season to make ourselves more competitive. We have beaten West Brom, Watford and Bristol City here - you don't get more competitive than that. We now have to make sure we pick up more points away from home and we will be even better".
