Simon Davey's last few games have yielded poor results. Ritchie was sacked for that.
Surely then the Barnsley board of directors cannot justify him remaining in his position

And Simon Davey has said we should be aiming to just survive in this league Which means that he believes he is successfull if he manages to keep us just above league one. Thus Simon Davey thinks that we should be league one as well
Davey said we should be finishing just out of the relegation spot For two years now he has said he has been successful in his job by doing so. To be successfull you have to finish higher than the 'average' position that your club should be at. Thus Davey thinks we are league one.
RE: Davey said we should be finishing just out of the relegation spot how the hell do you work out that you have to finish above your targets to be succesfull? surely hitting the targets you are set is succesful, which he has done in his first 2 seasons
The targets and the average position are different are they not? Your targets in any organisation should be set above the average in order to give you something to strive for. If he was barely reaching these targets which were set above the average then the average is league one.
I don't think he ever said anything of the sort. But to be fair, Davey will probably make sure we are.
What he said was that we were punching above our weight, not we were a division 1 club. Simon Davey said the same last season too.
