Barnsley manager Simon Davey: "We had chances in the second half and we needed one of them to go in. We had a lot of possession, we just didn't get the goal. "Jamal (Campbell-Ryce) had a good chance and after that, Kayode had one as well. We had a gameplan, and it was undone when QPR scored after just a few minutes.
"But for two lapses of concentration in the first half, it might have been very different. But we got caught out for the first goal and then the second goal killed us."

"But for two lapses in concentration" That's the problem though, they DID happen and regularly do and they aren't going away.
I wish he would throw these game plans down the pan. How many more game plans has he got that's not working. Come on Simon lad, just tell the lads to go out and win FFS. Football his simple, why make it so fecking complicated.
What I find strange is that he says the same things every week about if we had taken the chances , we would have got a draw or a win etc. but never metions the fact the opposition have had chances too and if they had scored all theirs, then we would have got beaten even more convincingly. He only see one side of the match and I am never confident he knows how to correct the mistakes he has made. But apart from that I am sure that if we give him time and enough money to sign another 14 player then we will finish above the bottom 3, if not and we have to make do with what we have , then we are fecked
He says we had a game, but it came undone after they scored the first goal. So why not go to plan b? The game plan then was to get a goal less draw. It was flawed. Coulson up front as a lone striker and Hassel in midfield. He took off our most creative player, Leon. JCR was our best player, at least he tried and seem to care. Colchester is a massive must win game. We are in a relegation battle, with relegation form.
"2 lapses in concentration" almost as good as last weeks "mad 5 minutes" what about not having 1 shot on target in the first half. What about playing a lone striker who had neither the experience or the games under his belt to be any way near effective.
"and then the second goal killed us." Now why is it that we would never be comfortable with a 2 goal lead at half time.
RE: Getting boring now....... Same comments from SD after every game now, about time he thought of something different.
Keeps saying things about not taking the chances................ Then do something about it. Got Kim sitting at home who cost allot of money by our standards, get him into the team.

RE: what he is basically saying is...." That he hasn't got a clue how to change things, either in the game (short term) or on an ongoing basis, in games to come.
