right when every one yesterday was one good result and probably the best performance of the year. Simon as took a bit of stick from some on here but yet again he pulls something up what non of us would have thought would have worked. with is tight diamond and jcr been that little bit more inside it seams to be working very well. Anderson DE silva's looking good on the right with van homoet bombing past him. Did any of you notice yesterday when there was 3 players around ads and he went through them with fancy foot work and when he was in the corner in the first half and he chipped it u and over there heads and then collected the ball and won a free kick about 8 yards from 18 yard box. That guy is pure quality. some on here said he had lost it a little, not a chance. Another one who as took stick off some members of this board. van homoet seems to be at his best at right back and that has to be at his best position. He seems to have unlimited reserves of energy to run and down the wing. Something people sometimes forget about him is that he can tackle and did yesterday 4/5 times yesterday and they were all good tackles. bobby hassell has at times had the most stick but with out ****** Howard (some one i never liked by the way. Always thought that this gay was stuck up is own ass) at the side of him seems to be as good as any other player in dm. You have to remember that he was not only making bh looking bad he made anderson DE Silva and colace look bad too. Can any of you remember Blackpool away when he was lazy and did not pick Kaaba up who dropped deep and colace could not get to him because he was marking someone else. Just thought i would share some of my views with you all. (worship) JCR
I dont understand what you are on about with the last paragraph "You have to remember that he was not only making bh looking bad he made anderson DE Silva and colace look bad too". Who made them look bad? Hassell? As for the other points, i wasn't at the game yesterday, but i gotta agree. I really like Van Homo as he offers a lot attacking wise. If he does lose the ball up field he has the pace to get back into position I don't see any of these "Davey out" brigade giving praise where praise is due. But 1 bad result tomorrow and straight away on his back
I think he means 'bh' as in Brian Howard and your thinking of 'bh' as Bobby Hassell if that makes sense . To sum it up i think he means Howard made Colace and De Silva look bad too because he wasn't tracking back enough times.
I wouldn't say he was a tactical genius........................ But he is proving himself to be a good manager which must really get up the noses of the Davey Out Brigade. He's shifted the boozers out and given us a team which can match any in the Championship on their Day. I still think we need a stronger squad but it is a much stronger squad now than the one Davey inherited from AR. Well done to the lads for the unexpected win at Burnley.
Not getting up my nose,I have every confidence that Simple Simon will eventually **** it up big style and it will be "bye bye everybody bye bye"
Rubbish HT Howard and Anderson pleyed together once this season when Anderson came back from injury. Howard and Colace 3 times when Colace was getting a feel for the game in this country. Dont try to back up your hatred of Howard with ***** facts. HNY.
First half of last season Howard and Andersson complimented each other very well Beginning of this season a bit different as it was clear that Howard wanted out and as you say only played one game together - The Howard of this season upset the teamI have no doubt about that A fit and motivated Brian Howard would still be an asset to our midfield - however we have moved on from there. Regarding Davey as a tactical Genius I think that is a bit over the top - he is still learning he gets somethings right and some wrong. More wrong than I would like to be honest - especially as he doesnt seem to be able to change the game on the fly in our favour by use of substitutes etc.
Who picks the bench though 4 strikers none of which have an impressive scoring ratio doesnt make any sense to me at all. If our squad is so thin that we havent a single player who is more use on the bench than one of KO, Mossto, Rigters and Coulson for example we have some very serious issues. I'd rather give one of the youngsters a chance
RE: First half of last season "A fit and motivated Brian Howard would still be an asset to our midfield - however we have moved on from there." Where would you play him and at who's expense??
RE: First half of last season Well today I'd have started with him ahead of Leon for example I dont think he is an automatic pick mindyou but he isnt a bad player no matter how much some of the fans have gone off him since the end of last season
Howard has never played for anyone but Brian Howard, throughout his career, which IMHO is one of the major reasons why our strikers have not scored goals on a regular basis, ever since he arrived at the club, because he is looking for his own chances before anyone elses. Leon does at least look for opportunities for the strikers and does try to play the passes that will be effective for them. BH very rarely did that and if you talk to Blunts fans now, they will probably tell you the same thing. Do you think it is sheer coincidence that our form has improved generally since he went?
"Do you think it is sheer coincidence that our form has improved generally since he went?" No I dont think its just coincidence - but this season he didnt want to play for us. He was instrumental (along with Andersson) in our early season form last season. He is a good championship player - just wished we had cashed in in the summer when we could have got lots more dosh
