I’m sorry but it has to be a grumble once again that man has had 3 years as BFC manager and yet no progression apart from a good cup run has been made. This season is going to be a relegation scrap once gain you can tell already 3 games into the season. On the pitch tonight we had no new players, yes fair enough they might be on the way but 3 games into the season and we have not got any new players from last year (Hammill was here last year). I for one will be amazed if this Gray deal goes through and then what do we do then? I’m not being funny here but am I right in thinking that pre-season is for getting the players fitness up to scratch and getting the new players the gel into the team??? To think we have started this season without making a single defensive signing who is proven at this level is a joke, we could have done with two defensive signings to be honest because on tonight’s showing our defence is just simply not good enough . Simon Davey has had the money when he has wanted it and has had more money than any other recent manager at BFC and yet 2 and a half years later we are still no further on and it’s his team for god sake! We have needed at decent left footed left back at BFC for the last 3 years and yet we still have not sorted this. When you look at the team and our players performance tonight is there one area of the field what you feel happy with??? The strikers did ok tonight but yet their keeper could have had a cup of tea in his hand all game! Do not get me started on our full backs Preston’s wingers Wallace and Parry won’t have to play in an easier game all season simple as that. Another joke performance from every area of the field today, roll on Leicester! Oh and to add insult to injury a dirty Donny fan rings Radio dee dar and it sounds like they have played like Brazil, there is only one way Donny are going and as for us where going in the opposite direction, I’m afraid it does not look good...
You are spot on, people who say give Davey time should realise that he has had since may to build the squad , yet we look absoulutley threadbare and age old problems are still there. Davey should do the decent thing & resign, to save Cryne from making a descision he clearly doesnt want to make.
I agree totally about Davey resigning, but Im afraid I cnt see that happening nor him getting the boot. I think even if we get relegated Cryne would keep him, a club with any sort of ambition would make changes. Ive defended Davey in the past but time as come, he has to go.
