On the official site he says he told them they were an embarrassment at half time and that their performance wasn't good enough, which proves he can't motivate the team during his half time chat. He is not a man manager, he can't motivate and he's dragging our club down ...... Davey Out !
They were an embarrassment. They can't defend. They can't shoot. In football, not doing either of the above two things, is pretty much, failure. It's basic, basic stuff. 1. Pass. 2. Move. 3. Shoot. 4. Tackle. It's not rocket science. Get the basics down to a tee first, and everything else will fall into place. I'd give Davey while the Swansea match, and if we haven't seen a significant improvement (which I don't think we will have) then it's time for him to go. We've had pretty much the same team for the past 3 years, and it's been a constant struggle. I've stuck with Davey, because I thought that him being a young manager, he would be able to mould a team together and establish us as a decent Championship side. This for me, was the season in which to do that. We've been in the Championship now for the past 3 years, and we have a good squad, however, they don't look interested and they don't look good enough. If things haven't improved vastly by the Swansea game; then I personally think it will be time for a change. He's had enough time, enough money and enough chances. He's brought some good players in, but he's also brought some woeful players in, for good money, money that could've been better spent by someone more astute. Time will tell.
it doesn't prove that if words alone can turn a performance around there'd be more script writers in management before you start no my anger has not subsided after yesterday
Its not just Davey's fault. They are professional players playing at the second highest level of football and if they think that what they are doing is anywhere near good enough i dont want the feckers putting a red shirt on - they're not fit to wear the shirt! However you have to start somewhere and invariably it will be the manager.
