He is the difference between us pushing on and establishing ourselves as a top half of the table championsip team. All that hard work coming back up into the league went down the shitter when we appointed him. Since then we have never really looked like making a top half finish, which is what should have been our aim after our first couple of seasons of survival. Just look at Blackpool for example. All that is my opinion anyway.
It's status quo. WE HAVE NO MONEY!!!. The only difference is that Davey used to come out and blame away defeats "on the long Journey." At least Davey kept us in the division on merit on not because another club was deducted 10 points (Not that I want him back . . . ever. . . ) Last season Hill blamed the fans. At least today he has accepted the blame himself.
bit unfair to blame a manger who got sacked 3 years ago..... in fact its wrong to blam a manager who got sacked 3 years ago....
They're all poor manager who've taken us no further. Hate to admit it but this it's curtains for us this season.
What a load of rubbish. We missed our chance at pushing on under both Robins & Hill. If it hadn't been the miserable downturns in performance after Xmas for both managers we could have had decent league positions.
After 3 games, 9 1st team players injured, get a grip be positive. I know its hard to be positive though but saying things like that and its not even September.
Let's be fair here, how can we even bring Simon Davey into this, although i wasn't his biggest fans, he kept us in the league twice and took us to the FA Cup semi final. No the real reason why we haven't pushed on is that we haven't got two bob to call our own! Finances have ruined the game.
No it is the inability of the CLUB to progress in off field activities that have hindered us, we cant just blame other clubs for having more money, if we are doing **** all to attract new fans and investment.
What off the field activities do you think the club should have invested in Madmark 62? I know the club looks amateurish at times in how it's run and the things the management do but realistically what activities could the club have done differently? Just interested in what you think could have been done?
We were playing some great stuff last season (before Xmas) and crowds didn't improve even when the prices were reduced. More fans means more money to spend.
exactly mario,,,more fans-more money..if the big game lot bothered to turn up to even half the games we'd have a bit more cash to spend on players...you cant get outside investment if your own fans arnt bothered.
**** me ive heared it all between sd and mr they spent what mooney we had either on signings or wages for loans ,**** gates dont help what do people want jesus christ to turn up and spend 5 bob break some bread and turn us to the top team in europe get real and be thankfull of what we have rant over and ciders running out
