REDS boss Simon Davey gave his thoughts following tonight's defeat at Oakwell. Simon said: "It is a big disappointment really after winning the last two matches away especially when you come back to Oakwell and lose. We looked tired tonight and we have played four games in nine days. "We were not the same team tonight and it was a disappointing result. We looked weary legged. "It looked like a penalty to me and to be fair it was probably against the run of play. That gave Hull the momentum and it was a silly challenge to make especially when striker's go down these days. "When we set out last week we would have taken six points from the nine available. Of course we wanted nine and that result hurts at the moment but we have a big game coming up on Saturday. "It is a big disappointment to lose and to lose here at home. We looked tired and we will have to rest up and make sure we are ready for Saturday. "We have done ourselves proud in the last week and we now have to move on and move forward. The lads were not themselves tonight". I have to say this is one Simon should be taking responsibility for the tiredness issue given the size of squad he has assembled. Also strange given that on Monday he said this: "BARNSLEY manager Simon Davey has a massive selection headache going into Tuesday's clash with Hull as Brian Howard and Martin Devaney look set to be fit to face the Tigers. Simon said: "We could have Brian and Martin back for the Hull City game. We will have to have a look at the lads and see how they are. They were very tired and fatigued after the Preston match. "We may have to freshen a few things up"
To be fair I am knackered too, but then again I work for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, not play 4 games of FOOTBALL FFS. (wnkr) (wnkr) (wnkr) (wnkr)(not to you Dreamy)
