REDS boss Simon Davey gave his thoughts following tonight's defeat at Oakwell.

Simon said: "We were not at the races for the first 20 minutes and they scored twice. We were always up against it after that. I was pleased with the reaction form the players at the start of the second half but it was always going to be too little, too late.

"Daniel Bogdanovic is a finisher and that has to be the one big positive from tonight.

"We lost the game in the first half. We were not in the game in the first 20 minutes although we had the right reaction after the break. It was poor and Ipswich were right at us and we did not cope. We gave it a go but letting two goals in always meant it was an uphill task.

"It was not nice to watch. It was poor and we have to work a little harder this week to make sure it does not happen again".

    Work harder this week?

I thought Davey said they had no days off last week and were doing double training sessions? Triple training sessions this week than Simon? Work them until they can't even run by Setdi?

I like how he refuses to accept responsibility

It was the players fault. They CHOSE to play without a left winger and with our best attacking midfielder acting as a sweeper and at times right back. Oh aye, the players made those decisions.

And Simon please will you fecking decide which is the best set up, is it Hassell on the left and Van Homoet on the right or is it the other way round? You appear to change it weekly. Almost like you don't know your players strengths...

yeah if we lose the next two he has to go, what makes it worse is that all the teams at the bottom are picking up points and reeling us in very quickly

    Tonights program notes:

"They have worked very hard and I am sure when we come out against Ipswich we will have a totally different Barnsley performance"

Blimey, if thats what "double sessions" does for them, I'd scrap training all together.
