CLICK HERE FOR MORE REDS boss Simon Davey gave his thoughts following today's clash at Oakwell. Simon said: "The conditions were poor out there and both teams were scrappy. It was one of those drab and dour games to be fair and there was not a lot of football played. Of course you always want to play exciting football and we know that we have not played well today. We had an off 90 minutes in terrible conditions. "It was pleasing to get a point but we are not happy that we have not played well. Charlton had eight players behind the ball and defended well. We had missed opportunities but we know that we have not played well. We have ground out a result and on a different day we could have won it. A point was probably fair".
Is the dugout in fecking Norway or something? Because from where I were sitting the conditions were pretty good
"The conditions were poor out there" And we mocked Laws for blaming the pitch on Tuesday Now I wasnt at the game but from what I was led to believe the pitch was in good condition - it wasnt sheeting with rain nor was it blowing a gale - For Mid February pretty good I'd say Pleasing to get a point .... speachless at that
We were time wasting for 90 minutes as well which was embarrassing For the last 5 minutes muller was booed for it
these conditions 1. Playing with no width 2. Playing one tactic consisting of looping the ball over their defence to use Mifsud's pace. 3. Not being able to use an alternative tactic when said tactic failed. All self inflicted. And the atmosphere was absolute gash. Nothing less than a win required next Saturday.
