    It's his progress to date

At the moment we are 2 points from relegation. Why can't I say that?

you cant use stats from seasons end and mix them with mid season.

I agree he has not really improved the position, but not with how you presented the facts.

in that case we really shouldn't comment on simon daveys performance until the final whistle

of the season every year otherwise we're commenting on things that are not 'finished'.

All I showed was that we finished season one 4 points above, season two 3 points above and at present in season three find ourself 2 points above.

You could also say that we finished with 50 points in the first season, 55 in the second season, and that we still have enough games to take 60 points this year. Wouldn't suit the doom and gloom though would it?

I agree we should not be arguing after EVERY feckING MATCH.

He is going nowhere, I know it , you know it and nearly evry single person that follows BFC knows it.

    One problem with that BRF

We are in a league that unfortunatly for simon davey has other teams in it. If it was purely a case of barnsley fc competing with themselves only to get as many points as they can then fair enough a few more points each year would be good but unfortunatly we are in a league against other teams and the way that the league works is by comparing the points between each team

Which season do you think man utd would consider a success? finishing 2nd on 90 points or first on 80?

    2007-08
    18 Barnsley 46 14 13 19 52 65 -13 55
    19 Blackpool 46 12 18 16 59 64 -5 54
    20 Southampton 46 13 15 18 56 72 -16 54
    21 Coventry City 46 14 11 21 52 63 -11 53
    22 Leicester City 46 12 16 18 42 45 -3 52
    23 Scnuthorpe United 46 11 13 22 46 69 -23 46
    24 Colchester United 46 7 17 22 62 86 -24 38

    2006-07
    20 Barnsley 46 9 4 10 27 29 6 1 16 26 56 -32 50
    21 Hull City 46 8 3 12 33 32 5 7 11 18 35 -16 49
    22 Southend United 46 6 6 11 29 38 4 6 13 18 42 -33 42
    23 Luton Town 46 7 5 11 33 40 3 5 15 20 41 -28 40
    24 Leeds United 46 10 4 9 27 30 3 3 17 19 42 -26 36

So... we were only 2 points clear in the 2nd year, but 2 places higher... which was more successful?
