RE: The clock should have stopped well before now

We get worse with each passing season, and this season we will surely bite off more than we can chew.
He'd be gone before Tuesday night for me, but if not I can't wait to hear the crowd reaction when Preston help themselves to a simple 3 points.

    No.

I believe that he is very secure. If we were going to get rid the time to do it would've been end of last season.

    RE: No.

Norwich fans probably thought the same about Gunn.

Delia Smith has proved she's got more balls than Mr. Cryne.

Disagree. If what you are suggesting is...

...that you'd somehow swap Delia for PC. I think Norwich are by far in the worse condition, and Delia Smith 'Let's be 'aving you' is an embarressment. Hence the hire a bloke, fire a bloke debarcle.

If you press that button next to your bed the nurse will come in and give you some more medication.

    You can have mine mate.

I still wouldn't want Delia Smith involved in Barnsley F.C. though - balls or otherwise.

I agree but what I would like to see is a "football man" as chairman of the club. Just because he has kept the club afloat for the last few years, for which we should be eternally grateful, just because he was a successful businessman who made shed loads of money, doesn't mean he knows more about football than anybody else who goes through the gates of Oakwell, but it would seem that it is he who keeps Davey in a job. I'm sure if Davey had worked for Cryne at Isoft, somebody in the management chain would have pulled the plug a long time before now.

I think that Davey has Cryne convinced because Cryne isn't a 'football' man (as you say) and Davey talks a very good game. Davey is a convincing bloke - he has the badges the dossiers etc He's even pulled off (God only knows how) a couple of a big wins against Premiership big boys. He reminds me of Spackman to some extent - but he is certainly better in the transfer market. He brings in good people - but tactics are woeful at times. The time to get rid was months ago. As others have pointed out already - we're largely the same squad, with the same manager. How can we expect a different end of the season?

End of the day, though, Cryne is doing a thankless job. He is pouring his own money in (and maybe not in the terms we now see from Arab Billionaires across the pennines) but still more money than I've got. I've got gratitude towards Cryne for that and I fear that if he walked we would be up the creek.

All I'm asking BRF for Cryne to accept that Davey hasn't got "it" to manage at this level and also to explaim just how Davey passsed the tests he set him in the summer in order to keep his job.
