When was the last time anyone said anything about 1997 to have a go at the present manager?
Me personally I know of no such thing, but of course I am not everywhere so maybe there has been some 1997 ism?

Is this a multiple choice question? I'm really struggling if it isn't.

Kev, I am seeing posts on here now that say the fans are going on about 97, as if it is something we should be ashamed of. It is the greatest achievement at BFC during my lifetime, I really dont understand why it is now so bad to talk about it.
No-one really believes that we can get promotion again, no-one says that Hill has to get us promoted or he is a failure, I dont understand it.
I just wondered if because I now live in Wakefield , I am missing something that is happening in Barnsley now?

I live in Dodworth and miss everything, mate.
Then again, I'm something of a thicko who knows bugger all about anything. I'm a simple soul in every sense of the word.

You have no idea what's been said to Keith Hill, or Flitcroft. You're commenting on a subject you couldn't possibly know a great deal about.

What the flip are you talking about?
Have you read anything in the thread or just seen my name and decided I must be attacked?

It's quite simple. Keith Hill has clearly experienced some reference to 97 during his tenure here. Just because you've not been privvy to it doesn't mean it hasn't occurred.

And anyway, it's not nice when people jump on your every word, is it?

The question was has anyone said anything to you? not Keith Hill, as I made clear in another post, it is something that has cropped up in a few post on here.
This has absolutely nothing to do with Hill, I would just like to know if it is happening and if so why is it seen as a bad thing to talk about it!

This is a public internet forum, you are quite within your rights to say whatever you like, my back is broad enough to take anything that is written on here. It is only a football forum and anyone that posts on here should be ready to take some stick as well as dish it out.
    Carry on.

Ok Then if something as been said and we are not allowed to know what was said, then surely it should never have been brought out into the public domain!.
Also I asked if anyone on here had heard anything, not what had been said to Hill, I think some of you have not read my question correctly of I have asked the question wrongly.

I am wanting to know if anyone has said anything to the readers of the BBS about 1997 and have said it in relation to a bad mouthing of the manager?

Surely that is not too much to ask, to keep what I asked and what Hill said separate.

The only person bothered about 1997 is Benny Hill, and the reason to this is because its is target, he's so egotistical its untrue, if you listen to him speak its all about him, me and flicker did this at Rochdale we did that at Rochdale. not a mention of the team that played on the field and won the games or the board that kept paying his team or the fans that kept giving the board the money to pay the team. Its all me me me, the reason he brings up the fans and knocks the club all the time is because he's jealous of the achievement of this club without him, and he'll keep treating the clubs past with contempt until he's no longer the manager or he suppassers the achievement of past managers, because that's the sort of person he his

there has been a few posts on ere about 96-97 over the last few months.
usually in threads where we are talking about the difficult season ahead, and then a poster may add that we never know, look at 96-97, anythings possible.. i think.
    hope that helps Mark.
