Simultaneous features on Radio Sheff and Sky Sports..

  1. On Radio Sheff...Davey saying nothing but "have you read the statement?" blah blah....saying nothing much and certainly doing nothing to make himself sound like a rational, communicative manager
Sky Sports showing some of Howard's goals and a pretty long feature on the sorry affair (recording it to watch with sound later)
Upshot is, it's a done deal and for £500,000??? Surely not
(clap) Well done Mr Manager for giving away our assets again

What choice do they have? He seems to have made it clear that he wants to leave so we are letting him go before he leaves for nothing in the summer. Hands tied on this one. My only criticism is that they should have cashed in over the summer if they knew he wasn't going to sign a new contract.

  4. Think he meant ten million LIRA, not pounds

    :D

  5. Yes, he wants to go so let him, but..

...why, time and time again, do we do this? Good players going for relative peanuts while we watch other clubs raking in millions for good to average players. Why do we do this? Don't they know how to run a business at our football club? What am I saying.....

Its not just letting good players go for peanuts, its the big money he spends on replacements that worry me, ie Hume.
