.... there has always been chaos at big match ticket sales time.

    In our own recent history;

    Promotion to the Premiership

    All the usual complaints, all the same things said, all the repeat situations, the "withdrawal of support", the woe is me factor. If you don't believe it then type your own name into the search facility and just look at all we said during thelast surge for big game tickets.We are all guilty of it. No matter what happens, the club (and not just Barnsley) will never be able to do right. In our own eyes we all think that we have our own special qualifications for priority - but in reality we haven't.

    It's time to give the club a break. It was obvious that if every ST holder wanted to go there wouldn't be room, even at one per person. No promises were made about the Colchester home attendance, simply that holders of such tickets would get some priority if available - and no matter what rules you put in place there will always be those who find a way around them. That's how it happens, that's how it always happens.

    It’s highly likely that the club might have underestimated the demand, but can we blame them? Trying to bring in decent players whilst struggling through on between 7 and 9,000 home supporters at home games can’t possibly fill you with confidence – we’ve all acknowledged and complained about that. This is a game that will earn the club much needed funds. They have a business to run. Why, in view of recent home support should they believe that they would sell out the allocation at one per ST so quickly, a system that would inevitably have caused seating problems for those who want to sit together and could well have backfired?
When the hurt and the inevitably threatened vitriol subside, asthey will, we will go back to remembering just why we all support Barnsley FC and realise that one away cup tie at Anfield is not the be all and end all of why we follow our team.We will want it to do well and we will be rooting for the lads from wherever we happen to be on the 16th Feb. To threaten to withdraw futuresupport is one thing - to carry it out is counterproductive, alien,and only serves to undermine every good effort that has been made by the board in the past to turn this club into something we can all be proud of. Let it go lads and lasses. It's frustrating, but it's a footy match and, despite how some may feel, it's not the end of the world and it never will be. And just to be clear, I haven't managed a ticket either. But it's not gonna ruin my life.

    eh???

    2000 Play-offs you just paid at the turnstiles where was the chaos?

    Hudders at home in Play-Offs , you just paid at the turnstyles again?

    The only time we have had problems is when we get a limited number of tickets.
