They're all like "we shouldnt be losing to little poxy clubs like Barnsley" and such. Here's a post on a different forum froma Burnley fan.

Haha, i'm sorry Barnsley's home support is terrific, forgot something yocal? Population of 70'000? Getting 16'000 is pretty good me thinks. Your home support is fecking horrific, end of. Your away support well, on boxing day only bringing 2'000, me thinks we would of took 3-4. FA Cup we've won it pal thanks. We outsung you today, fact. You only sung when you were winning, and after that for about 10 minutes, pathetic really. Have you ever won the league? Have you ever got to the quarter finals of the european cup? No, your a shitty little club in Yorkshire looking up to clubs like Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds. How hard is it to get into the premier league? It only takes abit of money ****.
at the bold bit in your quote. We'll see..

    Burnley living beyond their means

They've got a good manager, but they can't afford the like of Eagles if they don't get promoted. Their wage bill is something like 115% of operating income, expect them to sell in January, the chairman who's been backing them made all his money from building flats.....not the buisness to be in at the minute me thinks.
Think they're getting a little overexcited about their cup run and splashing a bit of cash, although, given a choice between them Wolves, Reading, Birmingham I would be happy to see them promoted, they might bankrupt themselves trying though

  5. Read your history books - Burnley WERE big up to the 1960s

On a par with their Lancashire neighbours Man Utd and Liverpool with England internationals and league championships to their name. I'm not sure what started their catastrophic fall but fall they did, just like the Sheffield clubs and, eventually, Leeds. I suppose any club with a "history" will have fans who assume it is their given right to still be big. Truth is though they are a small town club like us but with a more illustrious past. Whether they have a big future is unknown, but losing to "the likes of little old Barnsley" won't help them will it :D

It's Quite Simple The Burnley View

    We were lucky.
We were quite for most of the ninety minutes.
We are ***** even though we've done the double on them.
