    Real Madrid didn't actually bid for Ronaldo though

    At least Fergie has bid for Berbatov, so how is he unsettling a striker who already knows of Manchester United's interest?

    If you're bidding for a player, then what's wrong with admitting that in the press?

    Real madrid never made a bid, yet still mentioned Ronaldo signing for them in every other sentence.
