Because Lucas Moura as signed for PSG. Fergie says how can they pay £35.5m for a 19 year old boy? Remind us how much you paid for 18 year old boy Wayne Rooney?
He's been doing the pot-kettle-black thing for so long I no longer know whether or not he actually understands how childish it always makes him sound.
Old whisky face can’t admit Man U are past it when it comes to competing with other clubs financially. Massive debt and they can’t pay out like they did do. While he’s on about paying too much for players how much did he pay for Berbatov, Veron, Forlan etc? Oh I forget, it’s because once upon a time they where building up a debt and once a year paid stupid money for whoever had a good season while tapping them up. Get over it whisky. He chose another club. As did Hazard and a good few other players who will be the next generation of stars.
They never built up a debt, they were self financed until the Glaziers took over and effectively re-mortgaged the club. It was, and I use the word WAS, the model of how a top football club should be run.
Never said he was a bad signing. Just pointing out that when United spent millions on a boy no one bats an eye lid. But as soon as someone outspends Fergie he wants UEFA to keep an eye on the transfer dealings.
Has he said that? I just saw an interview where he mentioned £35 million for Moura in the context of PSG spending £150 million + already with Ibra etc.
Think Fergie's talkin out of his arse on this one. Some players are worth paying a shitload for at a young age, Rooney wasn't much cheaper than that and he worked out ok... agree with Eastand Lower on this
