Taking into account your warnings for us to take responsibility for what we post - is it possible to consider a step beyond the editing facility by providing a deleting option for posters?
People can edit just about everything away in any case, but it would stop the board from being littered with dots and dashes where people have been, and thought better of it for whatever reason.
Cheers.

Not that I can see. However, if you highlight to us a post like you mention (via PM/email) then we can delete it. That answer your question? I've just deleted 2 messages like you mention
Hmmmm Not really. Posts can't be edited after summat like 30 minutes.
That's not a long time in which to decide if a particular posting was wise or not. I understand the reasons behind altering posts to make responses look out of context, but I still reckon there's something to be said for power over yer own postings.

I often post when drunk ... .... and I used to like waking up, remembering, rereading and deleting before the morning crew arrived to mock me. Bring back the delete option. Now.
I wait until everyone else has gone to bed ............ ......post polls and then grumble about the apathy.
