    I'm going to reply here as this comes regularly. We don't delete accounts as we don't want other people signing up and using the same name plus it also makes a mess of past messages. On top of that there are plenty of examples of people who want their accounts deleted and then start using them again. Some have done this more than once.

    Just don't login is the approach to take.

    Better still, change your password to a random collections of letters so you can't log in even if you want to. Or get someone in your household to change your password so you can still log in in case of emergency. If I let Mrs Burgundy Red change my password the amount of grovelling I'd have to do to get her to tell me it would never be worth it.

    Your IP can sometimes change often. Just turning the router on and off can sometimes give a new IP, depending on your ISP etc.
