***SITE ADMIN*** - Please can you ban 'The Full Ponty'

I'm not a frequent poster to this board but I regularly read it most days and am a devoted follower of Barnsley Football Club and have been for many years.

Over the months the user 'The Full Ponty' has constantly pushed the limits with his insensitive comments about very serious issues. In my view, today he went a step too far, suggesting the McCanns might have 'eaten their own daughter (See thread below)

I know this was probably his attempt at humour, but considering the life of a four-year-old child is the discussion point, I don't see how his comments are appropriate. If you don't agree to ban him, could you please remove this comment from the forum, as I'm sure I'm not the only one saying it is tasteless and callous?

I appreciate this board is never going to satisfy everyone, but please bare in mind that young people, some under 11, use this site, and joke comments about the McCanns and more importantly their missing daughter is surely not acceptable.

I'm not trying to be a 'spoil sport', but simply think that enough is enough. I have put up with The Full Ponty's sick beyond normal sexual jokes and other tasteless digs for a long time without saying anything, but I strongly believe he has overstepped the mark this time.

I'm ready for a lot of opposition to this post, but am not too bothered. If it means standing up against some idiot who thinks it's funny to joke about a four-year-old's abduction and death then I'm willing to take the stick.

Some will say 'Don't bother reading his posts', but that's slightly hard, when I take an interest in a lot of issues posted on the board that are sadly hijacked by this individual who obviously has nothing better to do with his time...

Reading his posts isa bitlike watching Mike Sheron, you knew he would be crap and he usually didn't disapoint,but once ina blue moon hehit the target and then all was forgiven.</p>

and before you get on your high horse, I was one of the people who backed you up when you were getting slated for your avatar oral sex on a site which young 'uns can read hmmm . Yes TFP goes too far sometimes in my opinion but if yo don't like it don't read it !!!!

If people were banned for not being funny or having f*cked up opinions there'd be nobody registered.

come on Jay, you know old school comedy. If people aren't laughing, you laugh like a maniac and then they start laughing through discomfort.

As you know, I don't post much at this time of night, but I didn't realise it'd be like kicking out time at Yates or something. Could turn nasty I reckon. I think we'll be safe if we pretend to hate TFP.

Must crawl out of the woodwork and state that TFP quite often is the only amusing contributor to this board.

Personally speaking I despise the personal abuse that pervades quite a few posts and consider that to be something that should be stamped on more than obvious dark humour.

TFP has sunk quite often to the depths of personal abuse.

But then again, I am a Tongan goat.

 

I'm not usually a night timer either, but my girlfriend's away and I've just sunk half a bottle of Gin.

I personally hope TFP says something so bad that someone will die of indignation.
