Would you have any idea why I'm having problems posting something? I keep getting "WEBSITE BLOCKED BY NETGEAR" Have I been rumbled at work but it's not working properly?
RE: Try this: same site different address I will, but I'm totally confused by it. I don't think I've been rumbled to be honest. My boss would just have said something.
RE: Try this: same site different address Bizzare. Exactly the same message. I'm only asking about CD writing. blimey you'd think it was illegal or something.
Just had a look at the NetGear site By the looks of it they deal with hardware rather than software that can block specific internet sites. Having said that, I haven't a clue what I'm talking about and you may as well ask a fish how to ride a bike. It's just that Dirk has made hundreds more posts than me and I feel all left out.
RE: Try this: same site different address okay. But I think this is a little less cosmetic, shall I use Zovirax. That covers viruses.
RE: Try this: same site different address If I see a sign saying 'Wet Paint' I think it's an instruction. Just to put my competency in this area into perspective.
OK Cazi I've set a trap for Jay and Dirk. Can you advise me now, they'll be round the other thread for hours..
RE: OK Cazi From what I can tell, unless you have 'Admin' rights on the computer you are using then you're buggered. I'll continue to search for you tho' unless some whizz kid comes up with a better plan ff
It sounds like You've been rumbled at work. Netgear will be the make of (probably) the router your work are using to connect to the internet. They usually have a filter where ipaddresses or URLs can be added to block people using those sites. It sounds like somones added this site to that list at your work. You could try connecting via a proxy.
Er I assumed you weren't at work. When does it say "WEBSITE BLOCKED BY NETGEAR" is it on a particular page?
so it still submits the message? but instead of giving you a confirmation screen it pops up with that message instead?
