I'd like to heartily second that I, the reader, will decide what I find funny thanks, not you the poster. And if you've got to highlight the fact that it's funny with one of theses it invariably means it isn't.

Ban the lot. Not just the smiley faced ones. All of them. I assumed that evolution and civilisation had taken us beyond the need for pictograms, hence the written word. And don't get me started on text speak. People who use 'lol', especially on their own posts=seriously disturbed.
