Site to get rid of unwanted goods

    does anyone know a good site to get rid of goods that you do not want throw away but are willing to give away to a good home? I don't mean ebay. I mean to give away.

    IIRC it runs via a Yahoo Group- you post what you have and people email back saying they'll av it and arrange to collect.

    I don't have yahoo. I have a brand new argos desk just built up and not used that I want to get rid of out of my garage. Seems a shame to smash it up when it is basically unused and only a few months old.

    You actually do need to create a Yahoo ID but it takes 30 seconds.

    Then join the group- post what you have and off you go
