We arent very good are we. Neither on the field or running gamedays reading the threads.

 

Sitting back completely. Not 1 player in front of the ball for long periods. We cant win games being so negative after scoring.. he has to be sacked immediately, let Bobby and disco take it til end of season...

 

If only there was a professional manager to be found close by...... I'll give the directors a clue. Two can be found in the east stand. Mick and Danny.

For me the players have to take the most responsibility for that dire backs to the wall performance. Didn't win 50/50s. No anticipation of play. No playing out of trouble and putting them, on the back foot. Closing down on em were just gestures. Whereas Reading were totally the opposite. Blame the manager all you like. (and he has to take some responsibility. Eg Reading corners. All reds 10 outfield players in the area) The players were awful.

 

Not sure what changes he could have made when we were one up, Helik and Woodrow big misses from the squad.
I dont think Poya tells the team to defend deep in the last 20 minutes.
Really disappointed we couldnt hang on, plenty of effort and desire on the pitch today.

 

We attempted to defend deep for 86 minutes. He had the chance to change the mindset at half time. He had the chance to replace Bassi and Quina who were both very poor on the day. He did nothing.

I saw no passion, desire or fight.

 

I saw lots of passion and desire. Replace Bassi and Quina with who. We were winning.

 

Slightly different view point.I expected Reading having a go in the second half but we defended very well in my opinion.I wish I had a tenner for everytime Reading had the ball and had to play the ball back.That to me was good defending from the front and keeping our shape in midfield and the back 4.
For me our creative players like Bassi and Quina gave the ball away too many times so almost everytime we tried to get forward our attack broke down and gave the incentive to Reading.By the way I'm not knocking any individual because they all put a shift in.The manager is the easy target but like Hooky fella said the players had to show more responsibility.
With out the ball the team deserves an 8 with the ball only a 6.
