Maybe he's having a midlife crisis and he's already bought a sports car and had an affair?

    So lets get this right...

..YP is reporting that they are all from the Barnsley area impying that they are all Bransley ...err...'fans'. So ,...
    Either, ....
One or two are Leeds fans from this area
Barnsley fans were fighting amongst themselves
YP being Leeds based is glossing over and LU fan arrests
Leeds Fans were squeaky clean and well behaved (yeah right!!)
POolice focussed solely on Barnsley fans and any troublemakers from Leeds got off scott free.

    Or am I missing something??

I know we have some idiots attaching themselves to BFC but surely Leeds have far more muppet who like to cause trouble attached to their outfit.

Was going to say just because he's from Wombwell doesn't mean he's a Tarn fan, could quite easily be Leeds.

If you'd been to the match you would have known that the fighting took place in the Ponty. Barnsley fans attacked Leeds fans there and then stewards trying to intervene. So it's obvious that it was Barnsley fans who caused the trouble. So, yes, you are missing something.

Fair enough but what were Leeds fans doing in the home end in the first place? Not that I am in any way condoning idiotic morons who get the club a bad name (and possible heavy fines) Given the history between BFC and Leeds why oh why were tickets sold to Leeds Fans in the home end.

I know they shouldn't have been in our end but I've sat in away ends before but always kept my gob shut. They should have been kicked out but nothing excuses them and the stewards being attacked. Just to emphasise how stupid the attackers are it was all caught on CCTV and telly and there were a few thousand witnesses.

They weren't. You had to have purchase history to get tickets. These are people who managed to get tickets by other means.

It seems to be standard procedure to focus on home fans at Oakwell. I noticed the riot police went into the East stand that game and shepherded our fans across the end block, whilst the 250 odd Leeds lads remained effectively out of the North Stand down the side hanging over the adveritising boards goading away. Still maintain that our away end is the least regulated stand in the league, away fans tend to just do whatever without much consequence.

Not sure what happened in the Ponty End so won't comment on that. IF the only fans punnished our Barnsley's, that is a farce. But without more facts I won't judge further.

I'd say the leeds fans caused it by sitting in the ponty but....

In the ponty two leeds fans got found out one got escorted out by stewards the other got set about and stewards and coppers tred to intervene. If the leeds fans stay in their own end or watch on tele non of this happens. I should have sat in the holte end on Tuesday night and jumped up when we scored I'm pretty sure I'd be abit worse for wear now.

A purchase history of previous Barnsley V Leeds games was sufficient though sadly

I would agree that going in the wrong end doesn't necessarily mean you're a trouble causer, but these people bought quite a few tickets together in the most likely part of oakwell to find trouble.
