Size matters?

    Having seen both first team and reserve players at the Metrodome Pool and changing area it occured to me that today's footballers are smaller and less muscular than the players of yesteryear.

    I would say the players are slimmer and leaner, but actually musclier. Yesteryears players carried a bit of chubb!

    I agree.
    it's a faster game nowadays so players have to be as fit as possible.
