Let's just skip league 1 and go straight to league 2
If offered promotion to league 1 from league 2 as champions next season and then the following year promotion to championship via the play offs with a decent f a cup run to third and 4 rounds both seasons I'd accept it now. Next year will be a battering and a hard slog and we'll still be feeling crap and probably turning against both board and players even more hostile than we are at the moment.

There are some good sides & there are some awful outfits but it is very competitive , however speculation on how we will do is a little bit pointless at this stage , a clearer picture will not come until August time when we have an idea of [ a ] who the manager is & [ b ] what the squad looks like , it will be a very interesting summer indeed with plenty of comings & goings.

I think we can’t look at the top 3. We won’t have the fire power. If we can hit top10 will depend on who we retain and replacement.

I think we should be aiming for top 2. But whether that is realistic depends on who we keep and who the manager is. A good manager like Ishmael Struber or Stendell should have us at least top 6 if summer transfers aren’t disastrous keep Poya or appoint someone with the skills of Morais or Schopp staying in the top 20 might be a challenge regardless of who the players are

I think we will have a team challenging for promotion from game 1 and that many who don't renew will regret it when the feel good factor comes back and they have to pay around £25 a game to see our new players.

That feeling crap soon fades as the new season approaches as in 2018/19.Relegated 2017/18,beat Oxford 4-0 on opening day in front of 12,800 and went undefeated at home all season. We are same as most clubs sometimes its great and sometimes its crap.

To be fair this time last season I doubt anyone would have thought Wycombe would be third top scorers in L1 this season with their forward line.
As you say it depends on who is here

League 1 is pants some really poor teams and teams that have a go at you and get away with it sometimes. If we recruit properly with a way to play we should be going straight back up but it depends on this shower that's running us. Try keep some key players add a bit of quality then we will be near the top, look at Rotherham nothing special but keep players and have a manager who knows the league.
Next season depends on the owners, that doesn't fill me with much hope.

It's blindingly obvious to most, but it'll be another bloke who's prob never even set foot on this island before, let alone knows the league...

I’ll be having a flutter on us to be relegated. There really is a horrible stench surrounding Oakwell & the club in general. The matchday experience is absolutely woeful, the ground is knackered, the team on the field is pathetic bar one or two players who will be sold anyway. I don’t trust these tosspots to make a positive managerial appointment, it’ll be some unknown Johnny Foreigner again with a CV as long as Conway’s knob.

It really is depressingly bad at the minute & it’s soul destroying as supporting this club is something I look forward to week in week out. That’s gone, and these charlatans don’t care one iota.

The sooner we get answers from the owners the better, but I get a feeling we won’t see them at all & the reigns have been handed over to Khaled completely. Time will tell.

What ever odds you get on us getting relegated I will gladly offer you better , how you can come to the conclusion that we are going down next season without knowing our squad ? You make Mystic Meg look like an amature ! ps Have you got 6 numbers for next weeks lottery please .

Wycombe were unlucky to be relegated tbf, they put up more of a fight than we have this season.

If we carry on the recruitment strategy that's been prevalent for the last few windows of selling first team players and replacing them with u21 projects in an attempt to earn future profit from sell ons we will end up with a team of U21s coached by arsebaggage or some other coach from a minor european league and the team will get a absolutely smashed to bits in league one. I'm not saying we will drop straight through but it's probably not going to be pretty and be a bit of a slog at best.

Even if we never see any of the loanees again, sell all those BBSers expect to go and don't sign back up anyone out of contract, we will still have a good enough core to challenge for promotion even before new signings are brought in and replacement loans. But even if we didn't sign or loan anyone new (unrealistic) we would still be looking at a starting 11 that could include Walton, Williams, Kitching, Hondermarck, Moon, Iseka, Kane, Benson and Cole as base players who with the drop in quality should be OK at that level.

I think the proof of that is in the Tinpot Trophy, with Greed League youth teams getting battered on a regular basis by League 1 and 2 mesters teams.
