I know it's probably been asked before but has anyone had any dealings with Sky BB? I'm currently with Orange and looking for a better deal.

Has anyone left Orange or gone to Sky?

    Cheers in advance.

    Cheers

Did you switch from another provider cause I've heard it's hard to shake some off, I'm with Orange.

    Depends what your contract says

How long you have left etc. But if Orange is THAT bad it may be worth paying for both.

If you're a SKY TV customer you can get sky BBfor free anyway, but you'd have to pay for the router and connection. You can then step upto the MAX package (£10) when Orange expires should your line be capable of the faster speeds.

    Thanks

I currently get Orange free (well with a £35 mobile contract), but thinking of ditching the mobile and getting Sky BB free with all my TV package.

My Orange contract runs out in Dec, but heard it's difficult to shake them off if you want to change suppliers.

I left Orange to go to Sky earlier this year.

The reason I left was becaause I had no service with Orange - service dropped out and they couldn't / wouldn't fix it.

Had to give 30 days notice (even though service woudn't work).

Sky worked out of the box once the activation date was reached, although I have had the occasional drop out at peak times. Re booting the router sorts that out and it dos seem more stable recently.

Only good point re Orange was that they did at least clear the line when they said they would, but naffed off that they wouldn't let me out of the contract early as I had no service.

I had all sorts of problems with Orange, Like you I had no service and they would not give me a migration code number. I eventually got one after 5 weeks and went to BT. Must say I have had no problem in the past 6 months, no dropped line, speed good etc, etc,

    Works for me

Cheap at £5 per month, occasionally drops out but if I power down the router and power up again it comes back

Sometimes a bit slow in my area (Dodworth) depends on how far you are from exchange.

Would recommend it on price alone
