can anybody help with a problem i,ve got with sky digital.I,ve had the system 3 years and no problems, but earlier this week it said no signal found so i rang sky and they said that the problem was with the digi box and it needed replacing.so i ontained another one second hand off e-bay,he assured me that it worked and his feedback backed up this,he,s sold loads of them but i still have the same problem no signal received!someone said i have to ring sky and get it encrypted is this correct.anybodies help much appreciated.
Did you try turning the box off at the mains and leaving it for a couple of mins It works for me when we get the no signal screen
Theres a place on Sheffield Road I think....he's pretty good....do't trust Sky when they say it's your box
Plug your old one back in phone sky tell them that you want to cancel your subscription,they will bend over backwards to keep you,give them some grief and they'll come and sort you a new box FOC,they won't risk losing £40 a month for the sake of a box that costs them a fiver done it myself and a few friends and family
Have a look on digitalspy.co.uk Have you checked the reception strength/quality</p> If you are getting nothing , your dish might have gone slightly out of line. It happened to me when I was in France. The dish just needed realigning.</p>
