Fear not we are not one of the first. Blunts on 2nd Friday night Burnley v Bolton 12:45 3rd Derby v Blackburn 16:00 4th Some cup games then, yes, Leeds away on Sky (think they were away half a dozen times last season) at Leicester on 11th 16:30
Sheff Utd v Notts Co - Oldest football league club visiting the oldest stadium, so makes sense they went for that.
BBC had the cream of fixtures under their deal. Always seemed to be derby matches. Shame they can't be bothered to bid for more with my license fee but will put rubbish on like [insert programme]
Think they had a derby v forest, Lancashire derby and a Wales derby as part of their package of 10 one year. Their first ever one was WBA v Newcastle. Trying to show 'Prem' football under a Football League banner
Understandable choices due to the 125th celebrations I suppose. Glad our match with Wigan didn't make it, had a feeling it would. I like watching football on the BBC but due to it's terrestrial status and the need to attract viewers, they were always likely to screen the biggest matches from the Championship. We benefited once with the West Ham game. Sky Sports do a better job of sharing it around, even with their bias towards Leeds and the big Midlands teams.
