I am a Virgin Media customer and also pay for Sky Sports am I entitled yo Sky Go and if so how do I go about it?
Virgin have an equivalent called 'tv anywhere' mate - for some reason Virgin have hardly marketed it at all, which is weird considering there's a Sky Go advert on every break. There's an iOS app for tv anywhere, presumably there's an Android one as well, or you can use it through a web browser.
The virgin tv anywhere is NOT available for android yet. They are apparently still working on it & as has been said you cant get skygo through virginmedia.
OK, I'm sure an android version is on it's way. I had Sky until a few months ago and used Sky Go occasionally, the Virgin version of it is fine through a web browser but the phone app needs to improve a bit, it's a pain to set up as you have to link it to your Tivo box, and you can only watch live TV if your phone is on a WiFi connection so sort of restricts when you can use it. Suppose it's OK if you're in the house and your lass is watching the usual sh*te that comes on TV of an evening.
The Virgin TV Anywhere app only controls your Tivo box. Changes channels, sets recordings etc.. You can't watch stuff on your iPhone etc.. like you can with SkyGo. I have Virgin, but parents have Sky, so I use their account for SkyGo on my iPhone. You can have 2 devices per account
Got it on my HTC phone. Maybe doesn't work on older versions of Android, but certainly does on newer ones.
You can mate, you go on the TV guide and there's two options - watch on Tivo box (it will just change the channel), or watch on phone, and it will stream on your phone. You have to register the device like with Sky Go, that might be why you don't have the option.
I have Virgin, but parents have Sky, so I use their account for SkyGo on my iPhone. You can have 2 devices per account [/QUOTE] 4 devices if you have multi room now.
Sky Go works on my Galaxy S4 & also worked on my Galaxy S2, the app has been available for quite some time but it was out on iPhone ages before it came out on Android
Well bugger me, your right. Phone was registered but deleted and did it again. Now watching on iPhone. Cheers
