trouble with our old box, which has been replaced this week with a recon box, they're coming back again to replace the recon box. I know other folk have had similar issues - how did you get them resolved?
This really annoys me They have tried to get me to insure my box on the grounds that it is now my property.
I like Sky but I'm not dependent on it. I could just as easily go back to Freeview. The day they ask me for £65 for a new one is the day they get my notice to quit.

It annoys me too, and it's not a new one - that would cost me £209 apparently, the 65 quid was for the engineer to come out and repair the box and if he couldn't he replaces it with a reconditioned box with a 3 month warranty. I'll be calling customer services and I'm hoping to try and get a deal.
Check on the forums of www.digitalspy.co.uk There are some people on there that emailed direct to James Murdoch and got a new box sorted rather than reconditioned. I pointed a couple of people in that direction and they got it sorted, but I can't remember who it was on here that did it.
thanks eaststander that was what I wanted but I think I've already got a result - the guy said this morning it's a new box but I just thought it's a new one as in recon but on the digitalspy site they say a new box comes in a white sky branded box whereas recons are in brown. On that basis Monday's was a recon, today's is new. Its a Thomson though whereas my original was a Pace but I guess I can't have my cake.....
You should have held out on the cllout charge i did same told em to cancel lot and i would get cable anyhow they did so hold out in future they will make more from you in a years rental than the £65
