I’ve just subscribed to a TV channel called Fox Soccer Channel. At least twice per day they show Sky Sports News, can anyone who watches this tell me if they show the goals from all the divisions? If so I’ll make sure to watch or record it on Saturday to see Nardiello’s hat-rick.

    Hi

Caught it over there last year on the old Fox Sports World channel.

I think they take the 10pm evening roundup and show that.

How much did it cost to subscribe and can you just get that one channel or do you have to pay for a completely new package of cable channels?

To answer your question, with my provider, Comcast, I had to buy a complete package which includes Fox Sports Rockies, Fox Sports Mid-West, Fox Sports Arizona and so on. I can’t say I’ve yet to watch any of them. I occasionally watch Fox Sports Detroit but I had that one anyway as part of my local package.

I moved house recently. At the old house I just had basic cable, on moving to the new place I called Dish Network and Direct TV. They both had decent packages that included BBC America & Fox Soccer Channel for me and HBO for the wife for about $70 - $75. As I had my High Speed internet through my cable company going to satellite would mean having to find a new internet provider. My company did not want me to use satellite internet. I called Yahoo about their DSL and I was on hold for about 20 minutes. I finally hung up and called my cable company and asked them what they would do to keep me as a customer. They gave me a one year deal including the channels I wanted plus High speed Internet for $100 per month. I was paying about $70 before, for an extra $30 I get HBO, BBC and soccer.

The moral of the story is to call your provider and tell them you are thinking of leaving them, Comcast even had a department geared up to handle ‘retention of customers’.

at least one of the channels shows the highlights...

not sure if it's Fox or ESPN, but they show a round up, invariably at least one goal from every match in a division like ours.

I saw a goal when we beat Rushden 2-0 a couple of years ago.

I was there in March too, but didn't really fancy tuning in once I knew Port Vale had slammed 5 past us...
