BARNLSEY - The January transfer window has only a week left. For most teams this means a hectic period of finalising the big targets on their shopping list. But for the little fish the 1st of February can't come quickly enough. The likes of Barnsley are all too familiar with the onslaught of big clubs buying their prize assets in the New Year. Current captain Adam Hamill is not unfamiliar with the way the Robins let go of their stars in this way. He himself moved to Wolves for £200,000 in 2011 after lighting up the League with his long range goals. Burnley chairman Patrick Clarke is hopeful that influential forward Callum Hoolahan will stay at Boundary Park but the lure of Aston Villa, who lie above Burnley in League One, could be too tempting to refuse. Interim manager Pete Heckinton admits the job is hard at Boundary Park, but insists he can turn the fortunes of the club around. A shock win at high flying Leeds silenced the Burnley doubters on Saturday after 2 successive League defeats. Many thought the inevitable loss of top scorer Sam Winall to massive neighbours Sheffield Wednesday would've worsened Barnsleys relegation battle. Time will tell.
